WHO WE ARE

It started on a hiking trail in Colorado. We were two newlyweds talking about the future—kids, parenthood, what it would all look like. The conversation romantically shifted to diaper bags. Everything for babies was designed for moms.  But what about dads who wanted to be hands-on? Who wanted to pull their weight?

Elijah: “I mean, I'm going to need a bag."  

Elise: “Like a Dad Bag?"  

Elijah: “Yeah... A DAG."

Elise: “That’s kinda brilliant.”

Fast forward a few years. Two kids. Countless sleepless nights - many thanks to our daughter, who refused to sleep until she was 3. (In the wee hours of the morning, we may or may not have referred to her as “our domestic terrorist.” IYKYK.) 

But sleep-deprived or not, we knew this idea of a Dad-designed bag had legs. So we tested over 25 diaper bags. Listened to feedback from 200+ dads. Obsessed over every detail until we built the ultimate diaper bag for dads. Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

DAGS was created for the real ones. For the dads who take their job seriously. Who are hands-on caretakers in the trenches. Who navigate and embrace it all—skipped naps, blowouts, bottles on the go, the must-have binky, the one sock that's always kicked off.

There is no default parent. Only teamwork.

DAGS exists to help dads absolutely crush parenthood. We build confidence. We enable teamwork. We remove barriers. Because when dads are equipped and supported, the whole family thrives.

WE DID A THING

Picture this: You're in a public bathroom. Baby's mid-blowout. Toddler's yelling about the hand dryer. You've got one hand keeping the baby from rolling off the changing table (as you marvel at their core strength at such a young age). Your bag is on the floor (gross). You're digging for wipes with your free hand while your toddler tries to touch literally everything.

We've been there. We hated it. So we built something better.

We tested 25+ diaper bags. Talked to 200+ dads. Obsessed over every zipper, every pocket, every strap. Until we created the diaper bag for dads, designed by dads. A patent-pending system that works when you need it most. One-handed access. Everything you need right there. No digging. No chaos.

Raising a child takes a village. This sense of community and shared responsibility begins at home. Teams and teamwork will be unique to family structure, needs, careers, etc. There’s no right way. Some days you bob. Some days you weave. But its all hands on deck.

Every child deserves unconditional love, attentive care, safe housing, quality education, nutritious food, and basic goods. We will utilize our resources to live this truth and make this a reality.

We support, encourage, and celebrate ALL family structures that provide children a loving, joyful household.

We will address and celebrate ALL aspects of parenthood. The good, the bad, the ugly, and all the chaos in between. We keep it real.

We treat EVERYONE--our peers, colleagues, partners, community members, strangers, and haters--with kindness and respect. Even if its not easy.

We will always obsess over the details. Every product and feature will be designed with careful consideration. Our content will be thoughtful and carefully crafted.

We will ALWAYS live these values and use them as our North Star when making decisions, regardless of trends, profits, politics, or other outside opinions.
