Big shoutout to all the Moms, Step-moms, Foster Moms, Chosen Moms, and Co-parents on this Mother’s Day! To all the moms out there, we want you to know that we see you. We at DAGS appreciate all the love and sacrifice you have made to establish a safe and caring environment for our children to learn, grow and thrive.
The reality is that dads begin their fatherhood with a debt because moms have to offer their bodies for our families to grow…that’s a real one. We honor you on this day.
We at DAGS believe in taking on the load of parenting as a partnership. Together we negotiate the load that parenting brings into our lives and relationship. Dads aren’t above getting up in the middle of the night, changing diapers, doing laundry, cleaning, cooking or washing bottles (as I used to say: “You fill them, I think the least I can do is clean them”). Together, we form a whole child who is strong, intelligent, disciplined, kind and caring. We are creating the real ones for the next generation.
In the end, none of us would be the same without the love and joy you bring to our lives. So kick up your feet, take some ‘me’ time, get pampered, spread your joy and celebrate motherhood while the dads take on the heavy lifting. Today, we will carry it all!
