MARCH DADNESS IS HERE

MARCH DADNESS IS HERE

Fellow Dads,

It’s that time of the year again. We have survived the torture of retraining our children’s sleep clock to daylights savings. The perfect Spring sweatshirt-and-shorts weather has arrived as we burst out of the house to break in the local playground.

Sure, there is yardwork and summer prep to be done. But for now, we can all indulge in some well-deserved procrastination by immersing ourselves in the beloved annual sports spectacle that is March Madness.

To celebrate, we at DAGS want to introduce our first March Dadness tournament where we embrace the chaos of the season. TV dads face-off to determine which reigns supreme and is crowned the King of all TV dads.

The competition is fierce as 32 TV dads from 4 “regions” enter The Big Dance. Can the energy and antics of the Animated Dads overpower the seasoned poise of the Classic TV Dads? Will the emotional IQ and dignity of the Drama Dads overcome our pure joy of laughing at the mayhem and disarray of the Chaos Dads?

You will decide which dads advance to the Dank 16, the Esteemed 8, and the Definitive 4. Will the battle of the bumblers go to the lovable cluelessness of Homer Simpson or the absurdity of Peter Griffin? In a true battle of wills, will the competent poise of Hank Hill succumb to the freewheeling, roll with the punches flexibility of Bandit?

In the DAGS Final, will we be partial to the emotional IQ style of Danny Tanner and Uncle Phil? Or in the end, will Frank Reynolds win it all in a bracket-busting upset? I mean seriously, Danny Devito…

But honestly, what will we prioritize? The match-up between Walter White and Coach Taylor will likely decide. Will this become a contest based on Coach Taylor’s pillars of integrity, compassion, and discipline or will we give into our dark humor and complete Walter White’s redemption arc?

The bracket has been released and voting will begin Thursday, March 19.

Keep it real out there,
