Mr. Incredible is a powerhouse of fatherhood: protective, supportive, dedicated and loving. Yet Gomez’s charm, wit and unpredictability ultimately prevailed in this buzzer beater matchup.
In the other Definitive Four showdown, Uncle Phil’s brand of authoritative love easily reigned supreme over Ron Swanson’s pragmatic, rugged individualist brand of fatherhood.
Thus our finals are set: Gomez Addams v Uncle Phil.
The DAGS finals voting will open tonight. Either Gomez Addams or Uncle Phil will be crowned the first annual March Dadness tournament champion!
Uncle Phil’s ability to be a stoic patriarch that sets boundaries with his children while displaying an emotional understanding to adapt to their needs may be too much for any dad to overcome.
Yet, Gomez Addam’s uncanny ability to turn the mundane into the extraordinary may ultimately carry that day. Sometimes, pragmatism should give into the playful and adventurous spirit of many legendary dads.
